Quarantining some snails and shrimp in one tank and crabs in another tank. Found a million of these with the crabs, and fewer but still a lot in the other tank. Any ideas? Mites? Copepods? Trying to see if I need to set up a fresh quarantine tank to get them out if they’re a problem.

Picture is on the heater where you can see them against the black but they’re all over the glass and I can’t see them against the white sand.

Seem like copepods. There is usually a large wave of them and then the numbers even out

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
