My 2 long tentacle anemones keep moving close to each other. Since this photo was taken I placed another small rock between them so they can’t move closer, but their tentacles could still touch at night when they extend their feet and do the look like a swaying tree thing. They’re in a 90 gal, but always prefer to be in the middle dangerously close to each other. I know generally they are not supposed to touch. Anyone experience this and have it turn out fine with them touching and no chemical warfare?

I sure hope so because as I type this they are playing touchy feely. For a moment the purple one retracted quickly, but then went right back to reaching for the green one and they are gently touching tentacles, seemingly reaching toward each other.

The purple one went over a rock we used to separate the two long tentacles to be with the green one. They keep touching/sort of wrapping tentacles together like they’re in love lol. Anyone else have two of the same kind that are drawn to each other? So far doesn’t seem to be an issue after we have been trying to keep them apart in the 90 gallon.

They'll be fine! :) I am setting up a BTA anemone tank with purely the same species in there. Burned my hands in the past trying to have different ones on the same tank. None survived!

Three more are going in tomorrow.. Should be that more or less filled up!

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
