Brand new in box AquaMaxx cTech T1 calcium reactor. I got it as part of a package deal from a local reefer and don’t need it. $175 shipped to US lower 48 states.
Picked this up last year, now I'm about ready for it. Where the probe goes isn't a complete holder as I've seen on other reactors? Will I need a new probe? New O ring for lid although it seems in decent shape? Some lines and a pump for water and affluent is all I should need?
Calcium reactor for sale. Not super knowledgable on them, as it came off a client's tank and asked me to sell it for them. This thing is huge and came off of a 265gal aquarium. Willing to split shipping cost with buyer
I have a Reef Octopus CalReact 220 calcium reactor. The pull has failed four times. The impeller is waring out. Every two months like clock work. I would like to change to a different pump. Any suggestions for anyone WHO HAS CHANGED PUMP PREVIOUSLY. Pic of pump and impeller in thread.
Hi all,
So I have brought a second-hand bubble-magus cr150 calcium reactor (http://www.bubble-magus.com/productinfo.aspx?id=480), and I can not get the thing to stop leaking.
It seems like a bad design, but surely people have it and working without leaking.
So I find when I screw down the top...
Hey folks, I have an Airgas 2 Stage CO2 Regulator, used it for years on my freshwater tank but no longer need it as I'm only running 2-step dosing and have no intentions of going with a calcium reactor. Looking for $400 OBO + shipping. Send me a reasonable offer and we can work something out...
I am currently setting up a 75 gallon tank. I want to put a calcium reactor on it.
I run a hydros controller. I purchased a DC CO2 solenoid valve.
I have my sights on a small reactor. My first question is. Do I need a standard or controlled regulator ?
I'm a reef newbie with 8 month old 200 gallon tank. I currently have couple frogspan and hammers. One of my friends is shutting down the tank and offering all his corals (huge 50 head ball of frogspawn, two huge 12 inch Monti, couple huge SPS that I don't know the name and 10+ RBTA). I'm...
Calcium reactors are perhaps the best method for providing calcium and alkalinity in reef aquariums with a medium to high calcification demand. It is a system that does not introduce unnecessary ions, does not depend on evaporation rates and has very low operating costs, with a significant...
Hi Everyone,
I am currently in the process of getting my calcium reactor booted for my 120g tank. I have a handful of frags in the system but figured I’d get this calcium reactor going early on and adjust as demand goes up.
The tank was originally plumbed to support the reactor however I never...
So I have been trying to tune my calcium reactor for weeks but either the effluent coming out isn’t enough or it’s to much, I am even using a pump that goes up by microliters and I go up just a little bit and that over shoots it’s some how, I have tried raising and lowering the ph in my reactor...
I am trying to set up my kh director to control my calcium reactor but I’m A little confused on how it works, I said a nominal value change in the minimum and maximum and it doesn’t change anything when my alkalinity goes to high or too low, does anyone know exactly how to get this to work with...
I need to buy a c02 regular for my calcium reactor and I can’t afford anything fancy like the carbon doser, what cheaper regulators would you guys recommend?
Does the output pressure have be be adjustable? I found one for 60$ but the output pressure is not adjustable and it’s at 20-35 is that to...
Dear all,
I have installed in sump calcium reactor by Octopus. It is their 220 model. It worked fine for about a week with partially closed gas recirculation conduit. Now it has a bunch of gas circulating trough it. The regulator is Carbondoser. The effluent is pulled through with the Kamoer...
I am transitioning from dosing calcium/ alkalinity solution to using a calcium reactor.
I appreciate any recommendations and I have two main questions:
1. How much I should continue dosing as the calcium reactor gets going. Does my math look correct?
2. Where should I direct the effluent...
