I have an aquarium lid that is 0.5 cm thick. There's a gap between the lid and the aquarium rim, which may allow fish to jump out. I want to get a plastic backstrip for it, but most products don't match exactly 0.5 cm.
The largest one I found is 3/16" (inches) from here: Backstrip from Amazon
3/16" = 0.47625 cm, so slightly under the 0.5 cm thickness of my lid. Does any one have experience with fitting 0.5 cm lids with 3/16" plastic?
If not, looking for ideas on how to block the empty space, if anyone has any. I tried saran wrap, but it's such a pain to have it be consistent, especially if I move the lid for cleaning or something.
