I have a 36gal bowfront tank that currently is FOWLR, possibly getting into some light coral later in life. Thankfully, from reading here, I was smart enough to put a 10gal in the stand before I filled the tank..

Whats the best way to set up a 10 gal tank for a sump/fuge. Is it even worth it to try and set up a fuge, or just put some cheato in the sump area and call it a day

I doubt you will have much room for a fuge after your pumps/skimmer/heaters,etc go into it. With a 36 gallon, staying on top of nutrient control shouldn't be too bad with proper water changes.

In a ten gallon there just isn't much room unless you're not planning on going Berlin style and just want a fuge. I did build a fuge out of a ten gal on my 29 back in the day and used a HOB skimmer on the DT..kinda ugly. maybe you could get a HOB small enough to hang on your sump.

Ill post a pic when i get home(supposed to be workin :p)

If nutrient export is your only reason for a fuge you might want to look into an ATS and just use the 10 gallon as a sump to stash equipment.
