Have thinking for years to try Molly’s in reef tank and now then watching ReefBuilders video I thought it’s time so today picked up 15 Molly’s and will have em in fuge and frag tank. Drip em with a feeding bag so hopefully in a couple of hours I introduce em

Got a leak in the degassing chamber so I put calcium reactor effluent directly into return chamber but since then struggled with low ph tried to put the effluent into refugium and the algae liked it and it started to grow great.
But the ph stil low hard to reach 8.0 and before close 8.3 daytime so I started kalkwasser ca 4 liter a day helped a bit, but now got a new degassing chamber and boom ph raise and also alk I had to turn down deltec twin reactor
The problem is it’s high pressure in the chamber so only time will tell if it hold up

Issues again with the Deltec twintech 3000 swop new board, feed pump ,reactor pump 3 time and again leaks then injected co2, this is the worst reactor i had so much fail and expensive , and i invest in it to save some money on triton core 7 , Talked to my dealer and se how we handle this as this unit is terrible
Any advise of a reactor who can handle the tank and solid built i dose ca 130-150 liters a 24H

@Fudsey. You called ! Lol

I have the Deltec Twin Tech 1500 which is basically the same, and firstly if you ever decide to change it I don’t think you need the 3000.

The guys at DD told me the reactors are under rated as far as capacity goes, and in my tank it’s currently running at around 40 out of 356 litres per hour so you would have plenty of capacity I was going to get the 3000 until I spoke with them (Rogers/Bertram etc). Of course the 1500 is much cheaper

I think DD are the wholesalers for Sweden according to their website, and if you haven’t been in touch already with Tony Rogers in technical support if you pm me I’ll get his details for you. He also has a fabulous system if you haven’t seen it and uses the Twin Tech as well.

I’ve had a failed feed pump, which my LFS replaced free even though it was outside of warranty and the flow meter occasionally gets stuck and is an absolute pain to clean because you cant get in it.

Its one of those things, that when it’s working, which it does most of the time, it’s a brilliant piece of kit, but if it fails it’s a pain. To be honest if mine fails completely, I don’t think I would pay the current price to replace it as although I get a 10% discount the price is around £1880 now and it’s just to much

I have a kamoer STP continuous doser which is new and not used for what I got it for, so I think I would try a much cheaper reactor (possibly a Deltec PF601 or similar) and see how I go with that. Or just go back to additives and dose them like I do with my S650 as the chemical are so cheap when you make your own. I would just need big containers!

Thanks for replay!, it might be ok with 1500 ,but the 3000 as i run it it use up about of media and i use only Dastaco media and controller lowest at 130 and normally at 140-155liters change with the alcatronic.
I just feel feed up with it as spent so much money on the unit in this short time and replaced everything expect the flowmeter and the plastic unit :), But as the issue have be with leaks i guess it might be the media reactor aint 100% level so it close 100%. I talked to em so i hope we can get some sort of solution to get it running with no leaks. But i don't now of any other reactor to use looked at Dastaco but have to give em one more chance to get it right before i remove this unit for good.
Great tp hear you got it on warranty , i haven't every part is paid for even my dealer is great so i got his prices from deltec as he also se the issues we got on this unit
have a great weekend and stay safe
