I vote on dissecting it!
He’s to big to leave alone in your tank now, he’s probably killing inverts by now, or at least trying too! You need a wrasse! You’ll never see them get to that size again!

You never want to keep worms in your tank unless you have a fish only tank that will eat them . They will damage corals and eat snails . Get rid of it and anymore you see. Usually come out at lights out to eat.

I thought ribbon worm as well but none have the legs...looked for awhile last night..

You never want to keep worms in your tank unless you have a fish only tank that will eat them . They will damage corals and eat snails . Get rid of it and anymore you see. Usually come out at lights out to eat.

Simply not true, there are many types of mostly harmless worms, including bristleworms. About the only bad thing that can come from it is some itchy fingers from accidentally grabbing one, and that's easily solved with vinegar. They're excellent scavengers and are beneficial.

Definitely looks like a sand worm or a blood worm. We use them for bait in the LI sound.
Oh man I was just thinking the same thing, that looks like fishing bait.

Ok . I was always told that bristle worms are bad for your corals. Guess I was wrong .
