This is an exciting project we've been working on for the past few weeks. It'll always be a work in progress but it's coming along nicely. Here are the details and some pics.

Measurement: 96'' x 60'' x 48'' by Tenecor, 1 1/2'' thick panels, euro top bracing
Main tank volume: ~1,200 gallons
Weight: ~5tons
Type: SPS Outer Reef Edge Biotope
Lighting: 4 x 1000W 20K, 2 x 1000W 10K
Photoperiod: 20K 10hrs, 10K 4hrs midday for growth
Filtration: 350g acrylic sump 1'' thick, 6500 GPH Sequence Manta Ray Return Pump. Blueline 70 pump on constantly as a backup to main pump.
Addt. Flow: 4 x 6305 Tunze w/ Multicontroller, ea. unit capable of 7,900 GPH
Skimmer: ETS 2,000 62'' w/ Manta Ray Sequence pump.
Overflow: External "scupper box" w/ twin 2'' drains. Returns are twin 1 1/2'' from Manta Ray 1'' for Blueline
MRC 650 PO4 Reactor
Tradewinds Custom 2hp water and air cooled chiller.
Fuge: 150g Carleson Surge Device on refugium above tank

i stop by from time to time and believe it or not, it looks even better in person. the constraction is moving along.

The electric bill is going to be painful...lol, especially in the city...but so worth it, imo. :D

Roshi - LOL

Tank is due in any day now, I can't wait!! Anyone have good suggestions on pendants to use? We were thinking Lumenarcs.

Definitely go with the big lumenarcs. I'm thinking 8 400 W, you could even do three 1000 Watters down the middle to keep the really high light corals happy. Especially with that 4 ft depth!!! Are you going to be doing any actinic supplements or is it going to be halide only?

For a system like that you may want to look into the air cooled reflectors and ballasts that sunlight supply sells though. I believe reef empire had a thread on here a while back detailing their install of them. I'll try and search for a link.
