Im in the process of planning a 750 gallon tank (120"x48"x30"). Ill have somewhere around 1200 total gallons by the time im done with the sump, fragtank, refugium, etc. The problem is that finding a skimmer for this size tank is very hard and VERY expensive. I also have one smaller 600g rated skimmer for my current tank. Im going to have 2 overflows from the display, each of them will run to a separate 50g rubbermaid stock tank, then to 2 7" filtersocks, then down to a 150g sump and back to the display. This picture shows what it will look like.

because its a 10ft tank and the overflows will be at opposite sides and they are in separate sumps. I dont think they will compete with each other.

Do you think 2 skimmers will work?
