How did your c02 get in your tank? Is your reactor drip line under water? If that is the case you can't monitor your drip and you get c02 straight into water instead of letting it evap in the air. Also 3-4 weeks QT for me I have found it takes about 3 months to be sure. Good luck that is sad to see all those beautiful tangs die :(

The tangs died because of something stupid I did. I thought I was dosing pool grade lanthunum chloride when in actuality it was commercial grade. So basically I fried my fish. CO2 had nothing to do with it.

I usually quarantine 3-4 weeks on all fish. The anthias have been in the tank for over 3 months. By not paying attention to my reactor the media clogged it and I was adding co2 to the tank which deplenished the oxygen to which they died.

Oh ok I was just skimming through I thought you were talking about a different reactor :) I played the anthias game too for a couple years too and they were always alright as long as they ate at least once a day. Soon as I missed a single day they started dropping like flies too for me :( Sucks because they are so beautiful looking. Keep the updates coming love the tank.

Thank you dank. I might try again later but sticking with the easier anthias.

I've been out of the game since April '13 because of my back. I'm finally ready to get into it again. I haven't had corals in years. I'll need your help.
