Couple of updates....

1. Tank looks decent. Semi dirty but growing and happy. New lights are crushing it.

Idk how people maintain growth and have a stunning clean tank. Wish I could.

2. The weird dino esk strings and bubbles mount a comeback each day.... Puzzled with my nutrients and what not maintaining. It might just be I run heavy whites. Idk... They aren't bad at all....

2a. I haven't done any ID.... I may as I grow more curious..... I've tried UV 24/7 which I like anyways..... Nutrients higher .2 phos 50 nitrate.....and the only thing that seems to knock them back is black outs but they come back....

I just put only 5 micron socks on tank and changed di resin in water filters.

3. I love you all.

Nate

Picked up and mp60 , after selling some frags local.

Gonna run on pulse or random across the back. Just for some extra random flow.

Planning to pickup some snails , after cleaning out the shells made a rubble bin

Filter socks seem to help on the lil dino things .

Well, decided after many months of thinking today to get a "nem box" and get the nems off the rock. tried the suspended above a bucket . Wasnt patient and figured that was more stressful they also just sorta looked like jelly on the rock.

I decided to hammer and flat head the rock. All in all I think it went pretty well...

The GOOD
9 total Nems counted from the 1 I started with last year.
I didnt damage the rock too much
I think most will make a recovery
I now have room for the torch garden I wanted! :)

The BAD
I did for sure tear 1 of them right in half... :loudly-crying-face:
I maybe tore a little of another not sure
I definitely split a rock at the foot, nem held onto rock. Got a bigger piece off

I need to remove about 20. I have considered the “Nem canon” just haven’t really thought about how to do it with some of these large rocks etc.

Corey
That was my issue. Nem Cannon makes sense for one. But I had 9 lol. So I just chiseled away. Lol

I'm also impatient.

Cannon is great when you can get to the foot. The last one in my big tank has its foot in a spot that I can't use a cannon. So this weekend we will be employing the blow and go method with a power head.
