Seriously, there were no fish visible in my tank at totality!!!

Of course, it has been sitting empty in my garage for years, so I doubt it’s an eclipse effect.

My backyard buddy decided to take a nap during the peak of the eclipse today (even though we only saw about 50% coverage).:yawning-face::thinking-face:

We were directly in the path. I go to take a picture of totality and the dang memory card said it wasn't formatted, even though I had just formatted it a half hour ago. Find out it's bad and I didn't get a spare ready. So maybe there's something to this whole thing that made me stupid.

No changes to animal behavior, but I'm pretty sure the portal that they opened in Cern, opened up in one of my tanks.

I doubt indoors if there will be any effect as the light cycle in the tank will not change however it has been said, animals outdoors will become quiet, crickets will be chirping at their loudest and winds will become still until the eclipse passes
speak for yourself. I thought it was strange when all the water went to one end of the aquarium

If animals can feel pulls, why can’t people? This is not a spiritual or 6th sense thing, the pulls from the moons effect on gravity are extremely small, it affects the tides due to the VAST amount of area they cover on the earth. There is no effect on tiny creatures and people. That is why the moon can cause ocean waves to rise and fall, yet a person can stand nearby and feel nothing.

It’s a tiny amount of pull that needs thousands of miles of ocean to be affected, things on a planetary scale type of size. a person, a deer, whatever, can not feel this. And if you think animals can, then why can’t people?
We do. During full moons and other lunar events we feel it.
Psych wards during a full moon. Just because you may not notice it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

My dog loki was a bit off during the eclipse but I belive that was due to the darkness and not of some gravitational pull.

Nothing unusual at the store during it. We are at 97% coverage.

Superstition and people paying more attention on full moons and less attention on regular days. If something happens on a full moon, the superstition of a full moon makes the event more noticeable. But, over 37 studies have been reviewed and there is no link to full moons having any effect

Exactly ..... why would they?
Even if it was outside. No different than If a random day I went up to my tank and turned off the lights at 3pm. Would things act different than a normal afternoon? Sure. I turn off my lights and my corals close up and bristle worms come out.

The only effects that happen from an eclipse are visual, and things that rely on the sun for a sense of day/night notice the shift in light.
