I just removed some odd plants that were propogated in my tank. I did not introduce them. They grew well in my refugium/sump, but would get into my return pump, my UV sterilizer pump and my Ozone reactor pump, which are all in the final compartment of my sump. What plants would you use in your refugium/sump? Do you think they are beneficial or a nuisance? I'm considering options here. I like to run a very natural tank, no filter socks anymore, just a skimmer and the ozone reactor.

Ulva is a fast growing macroalgae but many aquarist desire it for its nutrient uptake. If you have another compartment with some room in your sump, perhaps you could put it in a basket with a light over it? I actually keep ulva in my display. It gets in the teeth of the overflow and stuck to the mesh over my wave maker but it's easy to remove and I like it's lush green appearance.
