I found a plate coral growing in my tank on the live rock that i had for months. One day i saw it, tiny tentacles and a mouth. It was smaller than a pencil eraser. Its now in my new tank and is bigger than a quarter. I feed it and have raised it since it was a baby. Pretty cool that you got so many to pop up. Pics...

really cool

i think if you have a band saw you should seperate some - put them on plugs of course so you don't lose them - and see how it goes
i think with that many they will quickly be competeing for space

Rev ,I'm with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and I don't think you have the proper paperwork to be breeding Plates.I will pm you my address and send them to me.Once you have the right paperwork I will return them. If any survive Customs .LOL

Wow that is awsome! I'd like to see some pics of this too. I had a hitchhiker baby plate coral once and they are pretty cute. :)

Do not cut the base. I have had one do the same thing. As soon as they get big enough to sit on the egg crate I pop them off. They each grow a little stem so I just put a knife under them and pop them off if I can't get my bone cutters at them. Every time I pop one of a new one grows in its place. Just make sure you don't let them get over crowded. I have had close to a hundred baby I bet.

Wow good news!!!!

If things work out, I will sell most of these for a good price. My wife has laid claim to the cash so I will do the best I can. We have been in need of something and this could help fund it. That being said I am going to sell them at a good rate as well as do something special with some of them too.

They seem to grow faster if you break them off. These pictures are before I moved it to my frag tank.
