banggai has white stuff growing around mouth

Got this banggai few days ago, he didn’t eat at all (tried brine shrimp) and I noticed that there is a white cotton like stuff around his mouth

Anyone could told me if it’s a bacterial infection?

Yes - that is probably bacterial infection. External fungal infections are really rare in marine fish.

Was it eating at the store?
Sometimes, fish are damaged when netted up to go home with you.

Being in Canada, you are not really able to get true antibiotics to treat sick fish with.

Thank you for reply! Not sure if it’s eating at the store , the other two banggai which come with this one are doing good, but I think the other one was also get infected from this one. do you think maracyn 2 could help?

Yes - Maracyn 2 is an option, so is Neoplex. However, you need to take care using antibiotics in your display tank.
