For those running a current-USA 1900 return pump, about how high are you able to run the flow rate? I had to back it off more than expected in order to keep the overflow quiet.

I gave him the measurements for the media cups now. He’s getting started. Gonna send me prototype to test fit since the measurements are so tight. Likely going to be custom circular drop in cups, with opposite sides flat. Might be making a replacement tray for them to sit in (the removable black piece that currently our socks go in). I had a big convo with him today explaining everything, he says he can do it

Its custom so won’t be a regular product offered, if it works and comes out nice I just need to tell him how many to make and I can post a link here to buy them

I was running the DCT8000 at little more than half, I didn't notice much noise until the strainer clogged and the emergency drain started to flow. I ended up backing it down to less than a quarter because it was pushing to much flow.

Do you have other flow mechanisms? Wavemakers, etc?

Yes I have jebao SL20, on the opposite side. I have it set on wave 1 at 100% with the longest interval.

The only sps I have are two Monti's that I'm trying to recover from bleaching them with too much light so I don't need too much flow right now. If I crank up the return to just past half it starts to move the sand around too much and I'm using the special grade.

New tank shots. Nitrites are ruining my nitrate tests but everything looks pretty good to me. I normally don't test much anymore but was curious and it was off the charts, checked my nitrites and also off the charts. Not much algae in the tank so not worried. I'm trying to keep this tank as hands off as possible but it's hard lol.

I just ordered mine. I did all the skeptical work as well. There’s a 1 year warranty according which I believe 100 percent. Other members have ordered and with those reviews I’ve decided to pay up. Etsy like eBay has a protection in place.

Congrats! Common minor issues to watch out for - few shipments were missing the lid for ato, and for one person they forgot the filter socks. they will send this out free afterwards but maybe message and ask politely to double check they are included. Also these were early orders, they might have added this to the pre shipping checklist

First I didn’t realize this and don’t know if it was mentioned earlier but I just realized today between the tank and the stand is a foam leveling mat. Nice touch to include

Second I am not sure how I plan to fill the ato yet, it’s 9 gallons. So will I bring jugs of water to it, or carry it somewhere to fill. Or maybe use my python. If we carry the ato to another location then water will leak out the fitting so I bought these small shut off valves. Not sure if I will use them or not but for 8$ I got a couple and it lets me manually stop water from exiting the ato, and they connect, lock in place, and remove easily.

I slide it about half way out and have my son support it while I fill it from a 5 gallon jug. Though make sure you have enough slack or you'll pull the ato tube.

They did forget my filter socks but I got a return pump as a surprise so I wasn't upset. They did offer to send the socks but considering how much it cost them to ship the tank and I received the surprise pump I felt like that would have been greedy on my part.

When you order contact the shipper and clarify whether it's inside, curb or lift gate delivery. I was told inside initially and the day of they called and told me lift gate. Which was no good however they agreed to bring it to my door.

Yea anyone buying confirm shipping drop off location

I was initially told garage, and placed my order over a month later and maybe they forgot because it wasn’t mentioned again but the driver showed up and said it’s curbside. I wasn’t going to let the tank sit at the curb and was alone, and got into a bit of an argument asking to pull up my driveway and drop off at the garage. He refused over and over and I went inside to contact the vendor and he got tired of waiting and just started backing up my driveway lol
I tipped him he was totally cool but I would have preferred to avoid the hassle of the argument

Also open and check for damage while the driver is there. If you don't any damage from shipping becomes owner induced.

I wrote the etsy shop and she extended a 10% off coupon to me because Im on the west coast and shipping wont be as much. Now I have no excuses not to buy one, just need a place to put it. Anyone have the exact dimensions of the tank and stand? Everyone who bought it still happy with it?
