What's the best way/tool to siphon a bare bottom tank? I have a 40 gallon qt and I am trying to stop overfeeding, but until I get the hang of it, there is stuff on the bottom. When I try to siphon, it takes out lots of water and I still see more particles than I'd like. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated. Check out link for a video -

No corals, fake decor....best option is to point your powerheads down, or keep them low in the tank. It will help create a current that will push debris off the ground and into the water column for the filter to remove. Debris that isn't picked up, should settle in dead spots where siphoning is fast and easy. It will never be perfect though.
