Hi all
I need a bit of guidance
I'v 2 pieces of live rock that have been sitting in a disused tank with water , circulation and a heater
There's been loads of evaporation so the salt level must be very high
The evaporation has also caused two pieces of the rocks to be sticking out of the water
You can see how much from the pictures below
Anyway I was thinking of adding those two pieces of rock to my 350 display
Would the two bits that sticking out of the water cause a problem for my tank
The bits above water are not dry because the pump is pushing the water about

I don't think that they would cause any issues, I would rinse off the rock with proper salinity water before adding them to your display tank though.

I would drop the salinity to match the tank first... Just dropping that rock from a tank with very high salinity could well shock whatever is living on it enough to kill it. Just add fresh water over a few days until the salinity matches.

I wouldn't worry at all about the bits sticking out of the water. They're still wet, it'll be fine.
