He's on the move! Argh I got so excited about the lights that I completely forgot to acclimatize.. He's been hiding in a rock for the past few days, but last night, he moved, and is now completely in the open. I think this is a good sign.

Sounds promising! He'll search for a happy spot and drop anchor if/when finds it. Love to see what he colors up to.

Very nice! Glad to hear its going well, yea you prob shocked him a bit with the light but so long as he is in one spot you should be fine. I would also like to see a pic as it colors up along its recovery path. Best of luck to you bjohn!

He seems to come out more at night, and then move back into a hole once the lights come on. Think he will eventually settle?

I think so, is it staying primarily in the same places like the same hole or constantly moving? If its still moving around alot its prob trying to find which spot it likes best. Have you been feeding it now, small chopped meaty foods like shrimp clam any type of seafood really just make sure you start with very finely chopped as a large piece can cause infection sometimes.

Yup I'm feeding it. It just moves around the hole. It constantly goes to the same hold

Are you light acclimating it now? IMO/E, that goes a long way towards helping them settle in, even more so with bleached ones.

so I thought I lost the anemone, and have noticed my browned out montipora randomly started bleaching. I was looking at it, and found the anemone has stuck itself to the back of the montipora. Is it killing the montipora??

I would think so, I had some candy canes near my bta and it was annoying them so had to move the coral. I would move the coral and not the nem, he obviously like the light and flow in that area so let him have it. Glad to see youre nem is still fighting and hopefully it will settle in that spot and color up. Tip the nem upside down and massage the foot until it lets go, shouldnt take too long then put it in the same place as before and find a new home in your tank for the monti.

So I left the anemone for a while. It stayed under a rock, not really open. Recently it moved to the bottom of the tank and does not look good. Here's how it looks

Should I give it more time? I had a dinoflagellates problem. So after they were gone it moved and it has been like this for almost a week.

That doesn't look good. Are all its tentacles gone? Wave your hand gently over it, if goo starts flying it is dying. Also if it isn't attached to the rock pick it up in a bowl and smell of it. If it stinks, get rid of it immediately, before it kills everything. Wish I could give you better news, but I think it's a goner.
