I did eventually break down and do the sanding and staining. Next, need to run to the store to get paint for the inside and spray poly for the outside.

Nice looking stand. I like your equipment list. It looks like this tank is going to be a beauty.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I have put a lot of thought into this new system. I want to incorporate everything I learned from my first system to make this one special.

No pictures today, sorry. Just not much reason to take pictures of a clear coating being put on a stand.

I'm loving the Flex Seal inside the stand. I was thinking it would leave a stick/tacky/rubbery surface but that isn't the case. Very glad I went that route.

One other comment... I decided to put my Deltec skimmer on my old system. Wow. That's all I've got. Wow. I ran it overnight in a vinegar solution. Changed it out. Literally had it dialed in and producing skimmate in 5 minutes. Most of that time was me actually figuring out how to adjust it. This is so much easier than my Curve 7.

No idea. :(

I haven't unboxed any of it yet. Hopefully in the next few days I can give you an answer to that. Regardless, Aquatic Life has said they are putting out an expansion kit to get more spread between their fixtures. I'm sure I'll be getting that when it is available.

Thanks for this! Looks like they just set in there but arent actually fully secured. Sorry to jack your thread Brew, Looking forward to follow this build!
No problem! After all, these are community threads. This just happens to be the one I post the most in. ;)

Great progress on the stand!!
Thanks! I still need to make the doors and then the decorative trim pieces but I may have a good window to swap systems out this weekend. Going to push to get the plumbing and electrical roughed in and will finish up the woodworking later.
