Lol-feed that anemone often and it will grow bigger than your tank! Feed it very sparingly and you can keep it in there for a good while. Mine started out small too. They can grow very fast.
You should start a thread of your own and keep it updated. Not many people have them.

It's not a peach carpet. It's a s.mertensii.

See that's what I told the people at the dang fish store I purchased it from and they insisted that it was a peach... pretty frustrating feeling like I
Just got ripped off then. Paid 75 for it...

Well I can now understand why these things eat fish!!! I've never had an anemone with this kind of an appetite! And is it just me or does it look like it's already getting bigger? I've increase lights to 30% intensity and more flow!

Snaking on multiple pieces of mysis while holding on to some for when it's done stuffing its mouth!

s. mertensii anemones are very hard to come by and are typically a lot more expensive than $75. i wouldnt say you got ripped off, you certainly got the better end of the deal! i find that mertens carpets also dont eat fish as readily as haddoni carpets do. just dont feed it and it will grow MUCH slower.

My LFS had it listed at 100, I got them to drop to 75! Great news then! I want it to get about a foot across then I will slow its growth! Clowns don't seem to interested in it yet, but I'm sure that will change!

That last one is a haddoni. Common with those stripes.

For lights, my tanks are 100% LED. I'm using reefledlights.com XTC fixture with home center 5k spots added next to the XTC fixtures. Spots are not dimmed. XTC is running at about 95% intensity. 1.5 hour ramp time up and down.

9:00 XTC starts ramping up.
10:30 XTC at 95% intensity.

5k spots on at 12:00
5k spots off at 8:30

9:30pm XTC start ramping down.
11:00 XTC is in night mode, replicating actual current moon intensity all night.

Carpets do really well with rediculous amounts of light.

Great! I have adjusted my lighting to be more white and I brought my intensity up ramping from
5%actinic blues
15%+ramping to full
20%+
25%+
30%full spectrum
15%actinic
