No, I'm positive that was not the case, as I have been testing all along. Also, my changing 40 gallons, adding allot of carbon and Purigen belies that possibility and my skimmer continues to go nuts.
Everything is recovering nicely and lesson learned. No matter how long one is in the hobby, no matter your level of expertise, it has a way of humbling you.
