Guys. Why is my CO2 scrubber not helping the PH.

I have it setup this way.
Inlet is coming from a container that has water to keep air moist.
outlet connects to skimmer air inlet tube.
Media is filled up with intersorb plus.

what am I doing wrong?
Ph goes 7.5 to 7.7.

No water sucking up to the reactor.
Installed this the day before yesterday. Today is day 2. I was hoping to see some improvement. But nothing yet.

its more of a gradual increase rather than an instant. if over the course of a week you do not see improvement then i would think something may be wrong

I ran my C02 scrubber inlet outside and saw great improvement. Olson I have gyres agitating the water surface which has made the largest improvement.

Maybe try running the inlet from outside if possible, my inlet runs from my skimmer cup but I have a Lifereef skimmer and it's already is set up that way. I saw a increase right away on mine.

You could also take off the silencer and run it right from the skimmer pump to the co2 container

If your pH is truly that low, then your home must be full of co2 and I would not expect the media to last more than a few days or a week.

What does the pH go up to if you open all of the windows and let the wind blow through your home for a few hours and exchange 100% of the air? If not 8.2 to 8.3, then your probe is probably bad or mis calibrated.

Even in a 100% tight house with newborns where I could not open the windows at all, I ranged from 7.75 to 8.0, or so.

Hooking mine up had an immediate effect of just over .20

I ran the reactor inlet from the top of the skimmer cup and straight into the airline for the skimmer pump.

I am using the BRS brand absorbent. With recirculating set up, I get about 4 weeks.

And as @jda said you might want to recalibrate your probe once you have the scrubber setup stable. I got almost another .2 of pH once recalibrated.

I have calibrated the probe twice actually. Ended up with the probe showing 10 exactly when in the 10 ph calibrating fluid.

I am shocked myself to see such low ph to be honest. With windows and door open I get to 7.9 max.

Have you calibrated with 4 too? ...or 7?

I think that it is likely that the probe is messed up more than it is likely that your tank ph is 7.90 with totally open/outside air.

I connected mine last week and just seeing ph change which should be stable as I have a one2-3 week install of a CA reactor also already keeping PH in check
You wont see change for about a week. I too am using silencer but running other line out into the room
