Hi all

In Randy's Triton results article he describes a salinity value derived from his 4 major cations concentrations (Na, Ca, Mg, K).

Assuming a comparison between a sea water designed refratometer (of course calibrated with 35ppt) what should be the average expected difference or how can we quality check this salinity derived from the cations vs the measured from a refractometer ?

Is there a calculator online where can we input the 4 main cations and estimate the salinity ?
