Hi everybody,
I’m in the hobby for 3 yaers and so far I have not fed my corals, manly sps and lps. I’m running a dsb tank with NO4 close to zero and high PO4 (0,2 ppm). I’m trying to reduce PO4 introducing macroalgae (they are working so far).

I would like to start feeling the corals but I’m concerned if I start dosing the normal products based on zooplancton my PO4 will start to increase again. I was wondering if dosing NO3 could be a good solution (since they are low and need to go higher). This should keep the water clean and at the same time feed the corals.
Thanks for your thoughts on this

What about bacteria? Are they also food for corals?

That’s right my nitrates are already low, better to avoid further reduction
