Am I addicted? I currently have 5 in my 125 and I just ordered a Timor Orange Dashed from LA Diver's Den...my current stock:
1. Leopard
2. Moyeri Leopard
3. Mystery
4. Melanurus
5. Checkerboard
I know I'm not alone, tell/show us your addiction to these amazing fish
I don't know about a addiction, but we have a Timor, Hoeven's and Six line in our 75 gallon. With the first two listed, it's hard to keep any type of crab or shrimp in the tank, they like to snack on them.

awesome!!!! good luck with them and welcome to the wrasse addiction club lol.....be careful about sudden movements around your tank and when sticking your hands in, even with a tight fitting lid they find a way to jump out or into overflows, in the 6 years my 125 is running I've lost 2 and rescued one.
I just lost 1 last week.....A lid is definitely a must

thank you.....yes, I've had the female leopard the longest (5 years got her when she was an inch or so) and biggest (~5") she'll chase any new wrasse I add for a few days then doesn't care anymore

I’m in the process of setting up a 180 SPS tank that will primarily hold Wrasse! There is a thread in the fish section called Wrasse Lovers Thread or something close to that and it’s an amazing thread!

How is the melanurus with inverts?

I have so many snails and inverts and empty shells in my 125 I can't really tell if it's doing anything to them. I don't have many but I have witnessed it getting vermetid snails. It breaks them off, spits them out, chases them down, spits them out until I guess it eats what's inside tube or gets tired of it. I don't have any shrimp in my tank because of my captive breed neon dottyback. I've only had the melenurus for a few months but so far I'd say it's a model citizen.

I've been known to keep a few.

If I can be self-indulgent, here's a great place to start for those wishing to keep wrasses:

Your established mystery let you add new wrasses after the fact? I have a mystery, but I'm kind of afraid to add another wrasse. I'd like a melanarus, and an exquisite, but kind of afraid to. Did you need to use a mirror or something? Was there some fighting at first? My mystery doesn't mess with anyone except the occasional quick chase of my longnosed hawkfish, but nothing serious.
