First Zoas! Questions

I pick up my first Zoas about a month ago. For the first 3 or so weeks they were doing great. They were growing and when my light were on the were always open and happy looking. Several days ago I noticed that they were not opening up as much and I am trying to figure out why this may be.

I have done so research and i have seen in several places that they like to have some nitrates in the water to flourish.

Currently my parameters are as follows:

Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
PH 8.2
Salinity: 1.024
KH 7.6
CA 480



The green one on the right was open so much you could barely make out any of the plug.

Thoughts?

I don't think you have enough nutrients in the water for them. You're basically starving them in my opinion. You want more nitrates.
I feed pretty heavily, my fish and acans. I try to keep the nitrates between 5-10

So if I bump my feeding up how quick will my nitrates come up?

What kind of lights are you runing? Seems like they are reaching up!

I am running 3 EcoTech Marine XR30 Pro. I am running them at around 50%.

That is kind of hard to say. Depends on your system and how much you feed. Only way to know is frequently testing. But I would second the nutrients too low theory.

That looks like a fresh cut frag. It might not have to do with water quality. How old is your tank?
