Gluing pvc to sump bulkhead??? Yes or no

Is it a rule to glue The PVC to the sump bulkhead on the top side? is there any pros and cons? And what about the bottoms side

hi,i personally do not on top,bottom same ,just put sm extention to help with splash :)

There is really no big reason to glue it in place. Fit it in snug and it wont leak. Never know if you will want to do something different in the future.

snug the top in,should be minimal to none,it's the splash below that will create salt spray
