Either LR personal choice… wife’s tank I did the shelf rock and happy I went with it!


5 months of growth…
A beautiful tank. Gives me some ideas for my redesign.

Would you consider using Tampa Bay LR to fill in the missing rocks? You would be introducing all sorts of new and beneficial bacteria to add to your established system. But ofc the flip side is possible bad hitchhikers

I’ve never heard of Tampa Bay LR. My tank has been up and running for 3 years and so I assume the gravel, and rock aquascape on the right(free of palys) is loaded with beneficial bacteria. That being said, I think I’d be more concerned about bad hitchhikers over a the benefits of bacteria.
