Hi there,

I've had a Yasha Goby (named Yoshi) for many months now, and while I also have a pistol shrimp, they have remained strangers until just last week. Now my Yasha Goby spends his days buried under the sand with his bud and I rarely see him anymore. There's usually not even an opening to the cave they live in, and when there is, it only lasts a day or so.

My question is - should I be worried? I know he won't starve himself, but I've only seen him come out twice since last Friday when he discovered his shrimp friend. How long can he go without eating?

I'm not terribly worried right now, though I do miss seeing him everyday. :crying-face:

Shrimp gobies get stuck in caves all the time in the wild. They can go a long time without eating. I have not seen my ywg for months at a time. I've had them for almost 6 years.
