If your aquarium has somehow gone out of level one cause may be the wood in the stand warped or dried out. If after you have determined your system is fine and needs a simple readjustment and you don't want to drain it, consider using an AirShim (Trade Name). They can be found at almost all of the big orange boxes and are quite effective.

How do I get the air shim under the tank or the stand?

I had to do this once. I just used a car jack and a 2x4. I placed the 2x4 just under the upper rim (frame) of the stand and the bottom in the cup of the floor jack. A couple of soft pumps and the stand was up and I could add the wooden shims I needed.
