I have these growing under a live rock which cannot be taken out of the tank without disrupting the entire aquascaping.
Similar structure seen on a Zoa colony one night which was scrapped out of the zoa with a scapel outside the tank. Tank is 5 month old with parameter within normal range except for No3 = 20 ppm and Po4 = 0.25 ppm.

How to get rid of these critter?

Currently using Phosband and Quantum Phosphate remover to fight off hair algae.

Appears to be colonial hydroids. They need to be starved to erradicate. They grab food especially brine shrimp for survival. Because there are only a couple, using a pipette, i would smother them with kalkwasser powder mixed into a paste with a pipette Or a dab of gel super glue

On the zoa is aptasia. Same method to kill either. If they are hatd to reach, use kalk paste but inject with a syringe which will reach right in there.
Copperband butterfly may or may not eat them, but may very well go after zoa and other coral. Blue face Kleini butterfly eats them like candy and does not bother coral and also will eat all dry and frozen foods offered.
If there are just a few, use the syringe method rather than investing in a fish.

I wouldnt use aptasia X.
Im convinced its glass anemone elixer.

They should rename it Aptasia Fountain of Youth.

The franks hardens over the nem if you get the whole mouth and doesnt allow them to shoot out their reproductive defense where aptasia X sluffs off shortly after.

I let it sit for an hour or 2 with low to no flow, then suck the loose nems out with my water change siphon hose vs letting them muck up the tank.

I have a 6 line Wrasse. Adding a Peppermint will be safe?
You should be alright and the shrimps are cheap enough that if they are eaten it didn't cost an arm and a leg. I release my shrimps into the tank after lights turn off so they have a chance to get into the rockwork.
Cheers! Mark

peppermint shrimp not to be trusted. they will get lazy and work on zoa and other softies instead. Type in the search box peppermint shrimp and see how many reefers have suffered because of them.
I even had issues with them and lobo and trachy coral.

If i take out this rock and dip it in freshwater for an hour , will it kill the Aptasia / Hydroid. I am aware it will kill the good bacterias but it can be seeded again.

Cant a freshwater dip of the rocks for couple of hours kill Aptasias and Hydroids? If I don't use bleach or vinegar it will not leach into the tank later on.
