Hello everybody, I have a ten gallon peninsula about to be online and I want some ideas on what to put in it. My ideas are a nano reef OR a Wennerae Mantis shrimp (parent permitting). Thanks!

Thank you for saying that. I'm not sure what I want to do yet... I just need to see more nano reefs I guessBe VERY careful if you decide to do the mantis shrimp. I have a small 3"+ mantis that I caught in the wild while snorkeling in the Florida Keys a year ago. It has been a pretty citizen in my 40g aio tank. It didn't bother the snails much and it really steered clear of the Rock Flower Anemones.
However, when I was doing some work on the rockscape, it attacked my hand and harpooned the tip on my index finger. It hurt like crazy and was EXTREMELY tender for the next 10 days. During that time the skin on the tip of my finger turned stiff and hard. Then it peeled off it left behind rather raw skin that was again tender for a few days.
It's only now, 20 days later, starting to feel normal again. Well, 80% normal anyway.
What Corals are those? Specifically those tall green ones. The others look similar are they all the same??My old 18" nano cube.
Left and right are green slimers. What Corals are those? Specifically those tall green ones. The others look similar are they all the same??
Beautiful thank you! Do you know where you got that rock from?18.5 gallon
Thank youLeft and right are green slimers.
Lower right is a green slimeball ancropora.
Beautiful thanks! I like the algaes and white light!
On top is technically a nano as it’s 30 gallons (under 40/50?).
On the bottom however is a pick reef I made out of a shrimp cube from petco. Same light made for plants. Figured I’d see how long I could get away with it. Everything did surprisingly well till I moved back home from college and scrapped the “system”. I would totally do this again with a par 38 bulb and a rimless cube, an air stone and a power head.
I assume you mean the cave on the right? It was a petco rock in a tankBeautiful thank you! Do you know where you got that rock from?
Wow a wide variety of Corals! My 15 gallon IM fusion,
Ya I ment the cave on the right. Thanks!I assume you mean the cave on the right? It was a petco rock in a tank
Me personally in my 65 gallons I cannot keep SOME inverts because my marble wrasse is a bully. I started that tank when I was 10 (14 now) and always wanted inverts but today I cant have cool inverts so I think this tank will be a good opportunity. I would like to do a starry goby as I think they look very cool if it will work. If I could I would do flaming prawn and a starry goby if I can't do a starry goby than I will do a tail spot blenny and a Pike face with a arrow crab, and some pederson shrimp possibly a coral banded? (if it will fit) with some acros and a couple of softies with a Rose BTA. Basically I'm thinking two fish and 2-3 inverts (not including CUC) CUC would be astrea snails and 2 hermit crabs. Not sure if this plan would overstock or not..There are tons of fish and inverts that are perfect for your tank. Lots of personality! Google pederson shrimp, hi fin banded goby, tailspot blenny, pike face blenny, neon blue cleaner goby. You could have all of them together in a 10 gallon if you have adequate rock for them to feel secure. The coral options are limitless as well.
I'd love to see your pederson shrimpRight after water change so everything is still opening and gonni blasto and plate was just added hours earlier. Ill update image later today.
Trimma gobies, tank raised catalina, flaming prawn goby, pederson shrimp, sexy shrimp, you have a lot of options. I have 2 pederon shrimp currently.
