I'm stuck on this new APP image and need some ideas!

We're finishing up the app and there are a few touches that I'm stuck on! Like the image for the Aquarium Equipment category button!

You can see it here below. The image we're using now is already being used.

I need an image idea that doesn't look like we prefer one company over another. Ideas please!

Why not just show equipment.. don’t have to show the labels, just generic pictures of a skimmer or heater pump etc.

Another option is to just make it a banner with a turkey baster, a siphon, and some zip ties--the true most important equipment.

That's a good idea. It's small and shaded so detail will be lost. Plus a lot of the high profile equipment would still be known by it's shape etc.

We would too but we also want it to look good. The banner that's assigned now is being used somewhere else already. It's going to work and look good...that's the goal anyway!

Just squeeze every single company that makes reef equipment into the banner. That way everyone is a part of it haha

or an electrical pigtail, the plug end and the cord making some swirly design. lots of equipment needs to be plugged in.

My real answer (not to sound like a sellout) is why not sell it as advertising space to larger equipment wholesalers? Seems like it'd probably help keep the lights on and is no more invasive than the other advertising on the website

Maybe something like a bunch of multicolored wires all strung together? That would get the idea across without having to edit images of branded equipment.

You could do a bunch of random equipment and hardwhere shoved into a pile. Then a pic taken top down.

Or a pic of some cool looking equipment heavy sump.

Maybe some clip art? Something like they have here. Probably need to add a splash of color to match the look of everything else, but the equipment is identifiable and about as generic as you can get.

If you don’t want to favor any vendors just use an image with a Hammer and Sickle?
