Is SeaChem Matrix safe to use in a reef tank?

Hello just thought I would add to this thread for AIO tanks, and to keep it relevant in 2020. I just added 1 liter(rated for 200 gal) to my 40 gallon AIO. I had some lying from my freshwater days. My nitrates are not too bad but could be lower. I didn't want to invest in biopellets or a reactor (mainly to avoid extra moving parts) plus biopellets have to be monitored more diligently. I am going to test in another 2-3 weeks and see if there is a noticable difference. Would be an interesting study.

Hello can it be keep in a canister filtrer like fluval 407? Or will the flow be to qui for take of the nitrate?
