Here's a livestream of the tank I did yesterday.
Thanks! Yeah, just gotta have enough of them. This is a standard 4 foot long 75 gallon tank with four a360x lights. I will have to add fill light soon though, because the colonies are shading themselves. Only downfall of Kessil, imo.Very nice! And they say Kessil's can't grow SPS! Well done!
Hoping the milli recovers!Well, my center piece milli is out. It’s a losing battle, trying to recover it in the frag tank. I ordered a milli box from Battlecorals to hopefully find a good replacement.
Thanks! If you have any tips or wanna know my perspective on anything, feel free to message me anytime!Nice tank! I just found your youtube channel. Keep up the good work.
What’s up fellow Matt!!! Thank you! Send me a link to your channel so I can check it out!Hey Reefer Matt. I'm a Reefing Matt too! LOL! Just saw your tank in the 2024 tanks thread and noticed how nice the lighting was. Followed the link to your YouTube video and subscribed! Thanks for the useful info. Look forward to watching and reading more... Nice connecting to a fellow youtuber / reefer / sps keeper.
Thank you very much! I run a little higher nitrates, currently at 15 ppm. I think that, coupled with the lighting and flow helps bring out the colors, even in whiter light. So colorful, maybe the most colorful tank I have ever seen! I am in love with it!
I added "matt" to your list @mattdgNice connecting to a fellow youtuber / reefer / matt/ sps keeper.
Wow! Where from did you acquire your corals? Here is my 75 gallon sps tank. It was my "challenge" tank about 4 years ago, to see if I could grow sps coral.
It is a standard Marineland aquarium with a triple drain overflow design, and a 3/4" return. It has a 29g sump. I used the cheap dc Amazon return pump with jebao powerheads. (They usually last about 2 years) I put all the rock on the center of the tank to allow full circulation around it.
It was a challenge for 8 months to keep the coral alive, as I used dry rock with live, black sand. I found out after the fact about the iron scratching the glass!
The tank started out with three Mars Aqua black boxes, but now has four Kessil A360X lights run on the Spectral controller.
Nowadays the reef is thriving and overgrowing. I am very happy with this tank!
I would gladly grab a stylophora frag- and maybe a chalice when you can ship to CA.I have been for a year or so already, but I only sell locally and do not ship. That may change soon, though.
