Looking for input on the larger innovative marine ext tanks. I’ve been looking at the 200 ext tank. Anybody have input on the quality of their tanks, know if there’s common issues with their tanks? How do these tanks hold up over the years?

I have the 170 EXT. Its my 4th tank over the last 15 years, and by far the best built. It's only been running for about 2 months but couldn't be happier. However many people you think you need to get it into place add 1. It's heavy.

I have the IM 200EXT and 112INT. The tanks are very well built and the stands are pretty decent too. We get random small earthquakes here (well I guess not random, I'm only a couple of miles from the San Andreas fault) and I wanted something sturdy and that's definitely what I got. The 200EXT was purchased in 2020, filled in April 2021.

The only issue so far is the acrylic cover for the external weir has adsorbed water and warped, but it could easily be replaced and of course isn't structural. I plan to buy another 200EXT soon.

I know this thread is a bit dusty. I went to order my IO 200 EXT and found out they only sell complete systems now. I had been waiting to save the money, now they only sell the entire system which means you must buy their sump and return pump. :-( I have my own sump and return, that is controlled by my Hydros. What did you all consider as alternatives to the 200 EXT. My biggest issue with their sump is it doesnt look like you can setup a filter roller. Thank you in advance for your thoughts ?

My experience with IM200EXT is one of my worst mightmare.

First Issue:
Additional IM Logo (upside down) on side of the tank. Black ink is circled by IM, didnt findout until side black vinyl removed.
IM did agree to replace the tank. But it has setup and running. (not worth it)

Second Issue:
After 6 months of running, Bubbles is starting to forming on the silicone seam. Contacted IM Customer Service since 6/25/2023, 6/30/23 and 7/12/23, NO RESPONSE.
If the business made it too personal when it comes to warranties and problems, then its not for me.
I would suggest Waterbox over IM anyday.
