Yes, that group... Interested
nice looking tank
PM me
beautiful tank! love the rock scape.
Interested to see how your tank progresses with SPS, i struggled real hard with them when I had black sand and it got better when i replaced it with regular aragonite. I noticed when I did an ICP test on my water while i had black sand that my potassium levels were super high - so might want to keep an eye on that as well!
Following.
I’ve been reading several of your threads on the transshipped fish order and it’s very interesting. I’d be interested to know what the final cost is. I’ve looked at several of the lists on their website and it seams like a cool way get stocked up initially.update: I just ordered a box of transshipped fish from the Philippines! im so excited to finally get some more fish in my tank! They will be here Monday, I will post pics of them when they arrive! im getting 26 fish!! 0.0

I remember acclimating 5 at one time and I felt rushed during the process. I can only imagine the process with this many. What SG did they arrive at?Hello all! New update! I got a box of fish today from the Philippines!! This is my first time transhipping fish. Below is my experience with this and some pics!!
Got the fish home from the airport. Both boxes were very well packed with cold packs, styrofoam containers, and lots of newspaper for cushioning.
Acclimating 20 fish isn’t as fun as it sounds. Lol. I was literally scrambling around trying to get everyone properly acclimated.
So all together I ended up with 15 fish out of the 24 I received. That sounds like a lot of DOA but the only thing that died were the moorish idols (which I half expected), most of the chromis, and sadly my prized rose band wrasse didn’t make it as well as a naso tang. But, all the fish have a DOA guarantee, so I’m happy overall!! Here’s what I ended up with:
Gold male pintail wrasse
Magma wrasse
Flasher wrasse
Mccoskers wrasse
One spot Fox face
Melanarus wrasse x2
Twistii wrasse
3 female lyretail anthias
1 male lyretail anthia
Black widow sail fin blenny
Green mandarin
One lonely chromis that survived
And I think that is it.
I’m a little worried about whether a few of the wrasses will make it or not. But, we will see how they are in the morning
The quality of the fish is amazing. I’ve never seen such a fat mandarin and the anthias and wrasses are really good size and healthy looking. I’m kinda sad my rose band didn’t make it. I was excited about that one. But oh well. At least I still got the magma and the pintail! (For now at least). As I said the packing job was A+ and I’m very happy with the customer service. I worked with Mitch at LivestockUSA.org if anyone is interested in getting a box of fish from him.
I will get more pics tomorrow when everyone is calmed down and happy

I was so hoping the Moorish idols would have made the trip. I would love to have one but I've never seen one successfully live in an aquarium with any success.
That’s better than what I get from LA. I got 4 yellow tangs last Thursday and they came in at 1.018. All are doing very well in QT (14 gallon biocube). They eat like little pigs even with copper power up at 2ppm. Got them delivered to my door for $33.75 per fish BTW.They were all between 1.021 and 1.024
Oh boy don’t get me started with LA. You should look at my review about them. XD sounds like you got a good deal though. That’s better than what I get from LA. I’m hoping you don’t have any more loss. I always feel a little relief when new arrivals make it through the first night. Then a huge relief when they eat. Good luck.
