Does the hydra 32 have the identical pucks in it as the prime 16 hd? The hydra has 2 pucks are they the same puck that is in the prime light?

No. The Prime 16HD doesn't have a puck. That light is all integrated on a single board. The 32HD and 64HD have pucks, though.

Just ordered 4 gold pucks and excited to see how they perform over my 4ft mixed reef with supplemental Illumagic Vitaminis!

Any updates on new product offerings or what is in R&D at Luxdium?

Absolutely love them. With the new power distribution for the different LED spectrums, it allows me to use all 90 watts of the fixture and still get the look I want during peak hours. Saw a 20% boost in par over the old LEDs with my old settings after measurement with the new gold pucks. Set 20% acclimation mode for a month or so to slowly ramp up where I want. The color rendering of the optimized white channel is so much better than only cool whites and the red/green diodes in the old pucks.

The blue spectrum for my nighttime viewing has much more rich indigo and better crisp blue for amazing fluorescence of all colors. Would recommend whole heartedly. Easy install too.

Here’s the setup of the 2 26HDs with gold pucks and the Illumagic Vitamini actinic bar across the front of my mixed reef. I do have 3DReefing diffusors in the Hydras. After acclimation is done par is around 350 at the top of those acros and 120-150 on the sand.

My phone camera can now actually handle the spectrum without any editing and it doesn’t look crazy blue in the tank either.

Beautiful tank! I just purchased 2 - 26 HDs and plan on upgrading them with the gold pucks. If you don’t mind me asking, what light schedule are you using?

Sure, keep in mind I have supplemental LEDs that add about 20-30 par over the entire tank and that I have diffusors on. Lights mounted 12” above water line. Here are my settings. I’m currently in a 20% acclimation mode lasting about a month to ramp up to this from my old settings before due to par differences. It may look weird given the shift of the white channel now being crisp blues, and the blue channel being the warm and cool white LEDs. Also, keep in mind the red and green channels are now various shades of indigo, so I’m pushing those pretty hard. I included an image of the “blue” setting that starts and ends the day, as well as the peak crisp setting I use.
