Hey everyone close to Lexington, Va.
I got a Mantis shrimp with my order of live rock. He is about 3" long and redish brown in color. I currently have him sequestered, if anyone wants him shoot me a message.

I’m not local, but just out of curiosity, are those the ones that can break glass?

I have heard that. No first hand knowledge thankfully. He is sequestered in a plastic tote. I understand people that setup Mantis specific biotopes do so in acrylic aquariums.

Having a mantis actually break glass is very rare, which is a good thing [emoji16]. I had a full grown female Peacock in a custom 40 and she would hit the glass daily and she never did any damage. I mean it can happen but it’s like 1 in a 1000 from what I read. They’re an amazing animal
