I found a YouTube vid of a way someone incorporated one into their return with a ball valve that allowed them to cut on and off (I'm sure with today's tech, it's possible to be automated). Just didn't know 100% on ability to share or if would violate any rules. If acceptable let me know and id be glad to share the link. Aside from the valve and some airline and fittings, required no extra equipment.
please share. I've seen plenty of youtube videos shared here.

I had the scrubber on for 4 hours last night. I started it while the lights were still on. Not as many bubbles in the display as I thought there would be, but Cruz told me it should look like a fine haze in the display. Lights don't come on til around 2 so I can't tell how the display looks yet. The skimmer cup on the other hand had some pretty chunky stuff in it. I wonder if should run this more in the middle of the night vs. right after lights go out.

I wonder if this product would work. It's definitely micronano bubbles.http://www.o2grow.com/
Those look really neat. The 40 gallon package at $400 and the 120 gallon at $1,200 breaks down to $10 a gallon. I'd like to see a comparison of these vs. the wood air stone method. The wood air stone method definitely has a price point advantage. Good find!

Stick with the four hours during the night.
It will work for you but with everything else in this hobby it takes time to see results.

Used Cruz Arias method from Dinoflagellates support group on Facebook and my Dino outbreak was history fast.

From my point of view the tiny bubbles get trapped in the dino's and float them into the water column to be filtered out, works on red slime algae too.

I've been nano and macro bubbling for around 2 months and all I see are benefits.

I'm Macro bubbling with a wooden stone right in the return pump intake, running 2x a day, for 15 minutes, with the pumps at 100%. Sometimes I also start it when I stirr the tank.
The macro bubbles do a great job to scrub the rocks, bare bottom and lift the debris to the overflow. Specially biofilm from carbon dosing.
They amount of slime removed from corals is also very noticeable.
The idea was to simulate high tide surges in shallow reefs.

I also do the nano scrubbing for 8hs at night, with all the benefits already described.

Question for the people that has been doing this for a while

When doing this did you notice a reduction in nitrate and phosphate levels? If so, how much of a reduction and how long did it take before you noticed a difference?

Not really, that is not the aim of this method anyway. Even if some people noticed it, is likely to be attributed to something other than micro scrubbing.

I got the needle valve in yesterday. Installed it, opened up the air pump to about a third or a half, closed the needle valve and opened it 2x 1/4 turns. I moved the wooden air stone to have the last baffle wall hold it down. My amount of bubbles in the display increased big time. Nano bubble flood! cruz recommended running it 24/7 for 3 days, so guess what I'm gonna do??? Skimmer production has gone through the roof. this is the foamiest I have ever seen. I had the lights on and could visibly see some slime coming off my montipora. Better polyp extension also.
