Has anyone mounted this pump vertically in their tank? How does it perform?

I have a 150g but cannot put it on the side of the tank due to my overflows so I was thinking of mounting it vertically.

I currently have mine vertically. I like it in this configuration. Running 60% constant flow. SPS are happy and my Acan's aren't getting their flesh ripped off at the sand. 4' 120 Gallon, 24" tall.

What's your width on that tank? 18"?

How far do you have it from the surface? And does it agitate the surface of the water at 60%?

Yeah I saw this, but it doesn't really give ya any hands on experience. They just say how it can be mounted.

I have mine an inch from the surface doesn't break the surface but I have it at its lowest setting on my 75. I saw no difference if vertical or horizontal. However I did try it max speed and it look like a jet ski taking off.

I'm sure it did lol I actually have a friend coming over on weds with a demo so I'll see what I can do with it before actually buying one.

Would you be able to test different height surfaces from the top running it vertically? I'm really curious about this as I want some agitation at the surface for the shimmer affect.
