I scratched my glass using a magnetic frag rack to acclimate coral [emoji35]
Oh no!!! x2 Where? Starphire is really easy to scratch. Scares me to death.

Sorry I've completely neglected this thread. However, I've not neglected my tank!

Everything is thriving for the most part. I've had a few acros not make it here and there, but most are 3-4 times bigger than the last pictures. Fortunately, WD and OP are going strong!

I now have 8 huge nems on anemone island. They have split several times but never left that rock thank goodness. You can barely even see the rock now, just one big blob of nems......it's pretty cool. My wife seems to think we have enough nem real estate for a second pair of clowns. I let Amy (from SA) talk me out of adding a pair of lightning maroons at the Expo this past October. But I think I'm gonna get them anyhow.......I'm coming for you AMY!!!

I've had a few carpet surfing fish not make it, and I've added a few fish. Had a female blue throat trigger for awhile. She was awesome and didn't bother the coral at all. Unfortunately, my hippo decided to beat the hell out of her and killed her one day. Strange because my hippo has never showed the slightest bit of aggression to any of her tank mates. I've added a dozen fish and she's never bothered any of them until now. Kinny @parroki is getting me a blond naso this week, hopefully that will go better. You probably know that I've had a trio of female leopard wrasses for quite some time. The biggest one transitioned into a male a couple months ago. That was pretty cool to watch.

Otherwise, I've added a variety of cool coral over the past year. I'll get pics and an updated list next week while I'm off.

Ok I can’t wait til next week. But it’s the usual crappy iPhone pictures.

Keep in mind that everything in this tank started as a single frag and/or polyp.

Thanks for the compliments. I really do apologize for neglecting this thread.

I also really wish I still had that blue throat trigger. She was amazing.

Beautiful set-up. I'd love to do something like this once I have a house.

How is the algae scrubber doing?

I took the algae scrubber offline maybe 8 months ago???

Instead, the two 5K grow lights are growing a ridiculous blanket of chaeto. I run the lights 16 hours a day opposite my display lights. That’s a 150 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank. The chaeto is about 6 inches thick.....maybe more.

I give about 1/4 of the chaeto blanket away every couple weeks and it completely regrows within a week or so.

Consequently, I don’t run GFO any more either.
