My 150 gallon Reef Savvy tank build

Let me preface by saying that my wife and I are die hard Cubs fans. Once the playoffs started, everything else in life was put on "stand by". We spent most of October going back and forth to Wrigley to watch the playoffs. Needless to say, I didn't get a single thing done with this build.

But now that baseball is over and all my dreams were shattered, it's back to reality LOL.

Talked to Felix today and my tank is on his table now. He said it will be done this month.

Everything else is finally coming along. I'm trying to get the stand completely done by next week.



Hopefully this will give you an idea of what I'm going for. Here is a picture of my dining room wall. The idea is to make to panels with molding similar to this on the stand. So the front of the stand will look very similar to this wall, except instead of white, the wood will be stained and the frames/molding will be black.

The canopy for the lights will be decorated in the same fashion.

I think the next 5-10 years are ours. But please Please PLEASE don't hold me to it in October! lol It is sad that you beat the teams with the 2 best records in the MLB and then you can't score more then 5 runs total for 4 games. Oh well. We will be back

Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing your setup. I have heard so many good things about Bean Animal that I really wanted to incorporate that into my next setup. However, I was a little apprehensive without seeing it in person and knowing someone who could guide/help me with the configuration when it comes for me to set mine up.

UPDATE:

Felix called me this week. Tank is on his table and coming together. He said it should ship this month. Whew! Finally......long time coming.

Here's how the stand is coming along.....

My wife (and I?) decided to put actual pictures on the stand instead of just frames. She....errrr.....we decided to put one picture on each side and three pictures on the front. She has converted the room into a ocean themed room with a bunch of our beach and diving pictures all over the walls. She is going to put some of our dive pics on the stand. Eventually, I hope to get a nice camera and take some high quality macro pics of my coral and display in the picture frames. I think that would be cool.
