Not new to the hobby but I'm new to Reef2Reef and figured I'd start a build thread with my current project.

It's kind of going to be a fly by night 220g build on a thin budget.

I started off with my good buddy Tater11's old 220g tank and stand.

The vertical corner seams were looking a bit rough so I stripped and resealed them.

This was not a reef ready tank so I just had to drill it.

The stand got a new cot of paint and finally the two were moved back inside and reunited.

The back of the tank painted and plumbed. It's going to sit partially in front of a window so I only painted the back up to the point that will be in front of the window.

I added some rock and then decided that the end that would be against the wall should be painted as well.

And this is how it sits right now. More rock and a shallow sand bed to come.

It's been a while since I've been in here so I guess I better give some updates.

The tank is up, cycled, and running with three fish. I finished my hood which is now on top of the tank and I went with DIY multi-chip LED's for the lighting. At the moment I have three 100w 20k multi-chips and will soon be adding some royal blue's around them.

I had a bit of a technical goof up with the first pic in my last post and i dont see any option to edit my post anywhere so I guess I'll just try again.

I'm a little behind on this thread. The 220 actually came down a while back in anticipation of my upcoming build. The new tank (525g Acrylic 96x36x36) is now sitting on my trailer in front of my garage. It will be a few months before I get a start on it but I'll be sure and start a thread when I get at it.
