Yesterday I tested
PO4 - .04
NO3 - 0 - did it twice just in case (I guess I could have broken out the Hanna ULR nitrate tester but I didn’t)
dKh - 10.5 - do not understand that one - dosing was decreased because the day before it was at 9.5. Yes I tested twice. I’m not sure how many test I’ve done with my current reagent but I ordered more.

I dosed calcium and magnesium yesterday brightwell and what ever the basic dosing measurements

I also dosed neophos

Did the math to raise 75gallons by .02 and dosed 60% of that. Don’t ask it’s my weird thing.

Fed the tank.

Did not dose phyto

Today
PO4 - .08
NO3- .7
dKH - 10.5 - well at least it’s consistent.

Currently Dkh doses at like 5 am . I’m gonna split it in to two doses one in the morning and 1 at night starting tomorrow. I will be testing Dkh again at around 4:30 pm because that is my normal test time during the week and we can see what the numbers say then

So a couple weeks ago I vacuumed my sand bed. Removed all the pesky Dino’s I could. It was bad. The entire area in my tank that was visible was gross. I should have taken photos of it specifically but I didn’t. Oh well.
But today I have taken photos. It’s not nearly as bad. And obviously if it’s taken me a couple weeks to get here I’m doing something right, RIGHT?

I don’t want to buy a UV light but maybe I should

I’d like to note that the king Midas zoas I have higher up are not as big as the ones I have lower. Nor is the dark ring around the mouth. First photo is (obviously) the ones probably midway in my tank. They don’t get direct light as this is pretty close to the center brace. I should make my par readings into something I can post here…maybe another day

These are a few inches off the sand bed. Growing slight in the shadow of another rock. But they are directly under an AI Prime 16hd. I like these better….dont tell the other ones

To me this looks more pink in my tank but I have issues catching pink in photos

When I got this it was almost dead - 1 head splitting

Ok. So little update time.
I found a frag tank and at $100 couldn’t say no. Guy is leak testing it tonight so I am crossing my fingers. If it holds true I’ll be picking up tomorrow.

I’ve decided after talking with @Lost in the Sauce a but I’m going to plumb it into the DT sump. I am also building a large cabinet that will sit right next to my DT. This cabinet will be home for my ato and all the other stuff that comes with the hobby.

I’m gonna work on drawing up some rough sketches of what I’m thinking.


If say the tank doesn’t happen still going to build the cabinet. I need more storage space anyway. And who doesn’t like to build things.

All I got right now is a screen shot of what could possibly be my first frag tank!

It was a yellow coris until he jump out while I was doing tank maintenance and was never found
