While I’m thinking about it and don’t forget (again)

@Goaway

PVC cut in half for the eel?
And best way to do so
So. Now you have time to prepare.

You can cut the pvc any length. I like to have at least 12". If you are going to do a back + side with u-joint 12 " still works great. They like to curl around in the tubing.

You can use a saw or get a pipe cutters. Pipe cutters prevent ragged edges.
Or. You can use joints to hide the ragged edges.

Pvc pipe cutters rin from 6 to 20. Depending on store and brand of choice

Low humidity. 65-85 is nice for me.

Husband = anything 32 to 65. After that he's

So like @Goaway
Low humidity- hence why I live in Colorado and no longer in Louisiana.

85 or less also seems reasonable

As long as the sun is out- not over cast - then I’ll take anything over 50 - because honestly it gets warm at 50 when it’s sunny

I started in March with a Biocube 16 gallon AIO. I found myself already wanting a bigger tank. I was looking at a Fiji 32. I didn’t want to spend that much. Than I got on Facebook at the beginning of last week and found this tank, 70 gallon flat back hex mad out of acrylic. Priced at 400! Including a 20 gal long sump and all the fixings! I couldn’t pass it up. So now begins the journey of cleaning it, adding a internal overflow (eshopps eclipse medium), building a new stand base, and getting it all in the tank! The tank also came with the corals the guy had and a mini maxi nem. Currently all the coral is sitting in a 10 gallon tank with heat and flow. Today I plan on building the stand. And getting the tank up and running. I already installed the eshopps over flow. I still need to remove some coraline algae that’s stuck to the acrylic. Soak all power heads and get them clean! Along with the pump. I’ll have to replumb the over flow.

here are a few pics. The first one are from the guy I bought it from and then the tank at my place.

Interesting fact the top is sealed on.
I am starting to think acrylic is the way to go, nice setup.

I’d you can keep from scratching it yes. At a certain size I believe it’s recommended.

Low iron glass also scratches easier

My new tank from glass cages will be - glass- although the sump will be acrylic

Congrats! I had fairly decent enough feeling that you'd get it and didn't really doubt you at all for the most part!

Just kidding! I knew you could do it. Congrats!
there was a 50/50 chance i'd bomb the exam and lose my A - but that's the worse that could have happened

Did you dupe the job into paying for the paper? Mine is.
