Probably but I wouldn't recommend anything other than a couple of clowns till he has a grip on what's going on

HAHAHA,,,, I think I will take partial blame for that. I always talk too much. It's not the first time a thread has gotten epically long cause I can't stop responding. Good thing a big part of my job depends on me writing A LOT.

Looks good, but anthias are schooling fish and do best in groups, and they require bigger tanks anyway.

That sounds good for a 40 if you add them slowly and not all at one time. I'll let someone else weight in on the anthias. I do have 3 in my 60 gallon. I have not had any problems with mine, but I hear they can be difficult for a novice reefer.
