My Reef Creations MR-2 and Aquariumplants Ca Doser Co2 Regulator

I just got a My Reef Creations MR-2 and this regulator. I'm having trouble figuring-out where to put the bubble counter and the check valve. The MRC unit comes with a bubble counter, but there doesn't seem to be somewhere to mount it. Does it just hang there on the tubing? Do I even need the bubble counter with this regulator? It seems like the blinking red light IS the bubble counter?? Any help is greatly appreciated.
