People are asking to take photos with you? I hear that happens a lot in Asian countries where not many foreigners come in. It's a rarity to see Caucasians I guess
Yes it happens at least once a day getting asked to take pictures. Some are the divers that want to use the free publicity i guess. But when we went to the beach we got surrounded and I was called Mister, Mister.... Mister Mister. I hear that in my head all the time now when i am walking around.

In and around Bali is interesting. It is like a someone dumped a bunch of cultures together in a blender and hit the button.

Most of Indonesia are of the muslim faith but in Bali, Denpasar there is a meld of religon, and people. Of course it is due to tourism and their need yo be more acceptable to other cultures. But, in Denpasar specifically they leave these offerings daily outside their place of business. I think sometimes twoce a day actually. It can be in the middle of the street or like the one above for instance at the foot of the statue.

Then of course they have places like this. Dinner it is on the beach as the tide comes in. The table in front of us had to be moved because the tide coming in started licking at the tables legs.

But since this is still our "businessmoon" we have to have SOME romantic nights. We cant look at corals nonstop.

Let's talk about food. Being as though Americans are really obsessed with food consumption, preparation and everything involved.

Being in Indonesia has shown me how different things can be. Let me give a little full disclosure here. I am a type 1 diabetic now for the past 10 years. I was diagnosed with it in my mid 20's. The reason i bring this up is the total amount of processed sugar in our diets even at home. I have been hard pressed to find and processed food in the first place most of the food here in Indonesia and surrounding islands are alive moments before you consume it.

Tons of fish options.

Much smaller portions but more frequent meals. I thought for sure i have gained weight but over the two weeks i know i have lost some because my shorts are too loose now.

Lobster!

Fish. Most fish is served or grilled like this in some form or fashion.

Typical meal looks like this. 3 to 4 times a day.

That's the way to do it! Processed foods are pretty darn bad for us. Fresh food is not only healthier, but it tastes a whole lot better too!

The heat starts early here. Being so close to the equator has its perks of no winter but at the same time hot as all get out.

I think this is one of my favorite pictures during the trip. I just cannot get over the views that are in the hotel.

This was the longest flight i have ever been on.

It is actually a fairly fun flight. You are fed nonstop and drinks are free. I could not complain about that at all.

I was intrigued at the flight pattern we actually took though because i would have never expected to go that far north to end up back at the equator. I assume it had something to do with the jet stream.

I've noticed that in all my flights too, they always fly super far north according to the on-screen route map. I flew to Europe once and the map showed us over Greenland. Looks like you had a great journey, I would love to see pictures of all your "goodies" when you're back in the states. What would you say was your favorite part of the trip?

I have loved seeing the collection process. It is eye opening to me. The way they pack them to ship them and even unload them. Just different from what we ate used to.

My most favorite part is just spending time with my wife who loves doing this as well. She is still working on her eyes for catching the more intersting corals bit sure is getting there.
